The Problem We Solve
According to World Bank calculations, one third of the working age population in our low-and middle-income countries lacks the basic skills required to get quality jobs. And they’re not just missing cognitive skills. A rapidly changing global economy increasingly requires workers to develop problem-solving, leadership, and technical skills.
Helping workers develop skills and maintain them makes economic sense. Unskilled workers face unemployment or must take unsteadly low-wage jobs that offer little career growth. This is turns reduces labor force productivity and limits economic investment. The private sector can’t flourish when there isn’t a skilled workforce to sustain it.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Low skills perpetuate poverty and inequality. When done right, skills development can reduce un-and underemployment, increase productivity, and improve standards of living. Helping people develop and update their skills makes economic sense.

The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected.
We use the SDGs on our platform as a universal language that aligns not-for-profit projects to the outcomes and causes they contribute to. This makes it easier to report against social impact metrics so volunteers to know exactly where their impact is going.
